Shorthorns win first two games

With two top players sitting out due to injuries suffered on the gridiron, the Shorthorns managed to start their 2025-26 season with a pair of victories last Monday and Tuesday.Schulenburg High School is looking to improve on a 14-14 record last year.

Lacking the height of the vast majority of opponents, this year’s Lady Horn volleyball team persevered to earn a sixth straight district championship and sixth regional title in school history.“The size differential was always our biggest foe,” head coach Donald Zapalac said.
