Despite a hot start and a 22-point lead late in the second half, the Shorthorns had to fend off a furious Rosebud-Lott comeback in the fourth quarter last Tuesday in Caldwell.

Shorthorn senior Reid Janda carded the top individual score with a 79 in the Weimar boys’ golf tournament at the Weimar Golf Course on Monday, Feb. 22. Other scores for the Horns were: Koi Prihoda, 108; Rilee Kusy, 112; and Jonah Bartek, 119.

Lady Horns host tournament to get their season under way

With the basketball team’s loss in the second round of the playoffs, Lady Horn head softball coach Loren Besetzny finally had enough players to start the 2026 season.After cancelling a couple of games, Schulenburg hosted a tournament last week.

Second-half surge powers Lady Horns to 55-29 bi-district win

Unlike last season, when the Lady Horns held off Thorndale in bi-district for a five-point win, they pulled away after halftime last Tuesday in Manor to comfortably down the Lady Bulldogs 55-29.Schulenburg cranked up its defensive pressure in the third quarter, leading to more highpercentage shots.
