Animal Shelter statistics

As of July 25, total intake for 2025 at the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter stood at 1,043 – 460 dogs and 583 cats in need.As of July 25, the shelter had 144 animals in its care – 59 dogs and 85 cats.

CCA“Meals on Wheels,” located at First Baptist Church, serves frozen congregate meals or frozen meals to the homebound. Meals should be ordered two weeks in advance and will be delivered to the homebound, or may be picked up at the center on Mondays.
