Recently, the Texas Education Agency released its latest accountability ratings for school districts across the state.Whenever those ratings are released, it is easy to focus on one thing, the letter grade. But a school district is much more than a letter.

Fayette Co. Fair holds inaugural coloring contest

The inaugural Fayette County Fair coloring contest, sponsored by Inspired Treats & Events by Nae, was a tremendous success, attracting 256 entries from students across the county.The contest was open to students from public, private and homeschools.
On hand as a $16,800 check was presented by Fayette Savings Bank to the St. Rose of Lima Catholic School Phase III Building Project were (front row, from left) St. Rose students Waylon Neskora, Paisley Guentert, Henry Neskora and Drew Schneider; (back row) Mike Olle and Cheryl Brossmann, FSB and personal donors; Fr. Fayette Savings Bank (FSB) was proud to present a check to St. Rose of Lima Catholic School recently for the Phase III Building Project – the STREAM Building (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering and Math).

The Schulenburg Public Library recently received a grant of $6,000 from the Tocker Foundation. This grant brings the cumulative grant support given to the Schulenburg Public Library to $107,580.
