The St. Rose of Lima Catholic School kindergarten class took a field trip to Blue Bell Creameries in Brenham on Friday, April 19. Students visited the museum and were allowed to watch from the observation deck how the ice cream is put into containers and boxed up. Then they got to enjoy a scoop of their favorite flavor from the parlor.

During the Triple Play program last week at the Schulenburg Unit of the Boys & Girls Club, members played musical chairs. Musical chairs is a fun and exciting game for kids (and adults) to play. Not only is the game perfect for energetic kiddos, but it can also help larger groups of any age interact and have fun together.

Twenty-four received the sacrament of confirmation at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Saturday, April 13 during the 5 p.m. Mass. Administering the sacrament was Bishop Brendan Cahill of the Victoria Diocese.

Heaven Hrachovy and Kylee Hoffmann traveled to Victoria on Saturday, April 13 to compete in the Crowned Flamingo Pageant held at the Mitchell Event Center in downtown Victoria. Heaven Hrachovy, 16, daughter of Laddie and Bridget Hrachovy of Schulenburg, competed in the Miss Division.

Fayette County 4-H members participated in the District 11 4-H Spring Spectacular, consisting of six different contests, on Thursday and Friday, April 4 and 5 in Victoria. Fayette County 4-H participants, results and clubs to which they belong are as follows: PUBLIC SPEAKING Senior Division

During last week’s arts and crafts activity at the Schulenburg Unit of the Boys & Girls Club, members Dredyn Wright and Legacy Crenshaw enjoyed making paper towel art. The members love when they get to show off their creativity!

Schulenburg Elementary is offering pre-K3 and pre-K4 classes, and students who will be age 3 on or before Sept. 1 are eligible.
