Blinn to offer vocational nursing program in spring

The Blinn College District Vocational Nursing Program is now accepting applications for its inaugural spring cohort. The traditional face-to-face program will begin Jan. 16 and students will graduate in December 2024.

Blinn sets computer course here

The Blinn College-Schulenburg campus is offering a hands-on, introductory computer refresher course this fall. The class will include basic computer terminology of hardware and programs, basic word processing, and internet safety and navigation. The $39 course will meet from 6 to 8 p.m.

Fayette County 4-H’ers receive awards at annual banquet

The annual Fayette County 4-H Banquet was held on Sunday,Aug. 6 at the Historic Casino Hall in La Grange. The 4-H Banquet is the highlight and culmination of the year’s activities for members, as one year closes and a new year begins.

County Girl Scouts go to Orlando, Florida

Members of La Grange Girl Scout Troops 32077, 77 and 1375 participated in the 2023 National Girl Scout Convention, Phenom by Girl Scouts, and National Bridging Ceremony at Walt Disney World’s Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, July 20-22.

4-H Shooting Sports Club sets tourney

The Fayette 4-H Shooting Sports Club is sponsoring a Sporting Clay Tournament on Saturday Aug. 26. This event will be held at the Fayette County Gun Club, located at 5338 North Highway 77 north of La Grange. The costs are $50 per individual and/or $200 per team.
