This past Thursday, May 11, the Schulenburg High School band had its spring concert and awards banquet at Sengelmann Hall. Students received awards for their hard work throughout the school year.

Otto named Catholic Life All American Scholar

Tamara Otto of Schulenburg has received the Catholic Life Insurance All American Scholar Award for 2023. Otto, the daughter of Stacy and Keith Otto, is a senior at Schulenburg High School. She will attend Texas A&M University this fall.

Channing Hill, the daughter of Clarence Hill Jr. (a 1983 graduate of Schulenburg High School and alumnus of The University of Texas at Austin), received her bachelor’s degree in Legal Communications at Howard University in Washington, D.C.

The Schulenburg/Weimar area Parents As Teachers (PAT) held their annual Art in the Park on Saturday, May 6. This Fiesta-themed event was held at Wolters Park in Schulenburg in conjunction with Turtle Wing Foundation’s Jack Hooper Day at the Park.

Shawna Bruns and Delia “Dede” Moeller have announced their retirement from Flatonia ISD at the end of the 2022-23 school year. Both have served mainly on the elementary campus.
