St. Rose fifth grade goes to George Ranch

The fifth graders at St. Rose of Lima Catholic School visited George Ranch near Richmond on Thursday, Nov. 13 and had the opportunity to learn about farm life in Texas from the 1830s to the 1930s.
The “Neon Lights : Illuminating Young Minds” theme was highlighted as students and staff at St. Rose of Lima Catholic School (top photo) and Schulenburg Elementary (bottom photo) wore bright neon-colored clothing. Students at Weimar Elementary and St. Michael Catholic School in Weimar also participated by wearing bright colors.

The fourth grade class at St. Rose of Lima Catholic School travelled to the Fayette County Fairgrounds in La Grange on Tuesday, Oct. 14 for the annual Fayette County Farm Bureau Ag Day. The students participated in hands-on experiences such as petting and learning about farm animals.
