Six Fayette County 4-H members competed in the Texas Cattle Feeders Association Junior Fed Beef Challenge at West Texas A&M University on July 25. The TCFA Junior Fed Beef Challenge is designed to encourage young people to gain practical experience in feeding commercial beef cattle.

The Schulenburg Festival tricycle races and kiddie parade will be held on Saturday, Aug. 2.Both events will take place at Wolters Park under the pavilion on the dance floor.The tricycle races will start at 11 a.m.

Art project under way at Weimar Public Library

The Weimar Public Library is hosting another fun communal art project, and it is one of the cutest and weirdest trends on the internet and social media – it is a rock snake.To kick off this year’s summer reading program, the Weimar Public Library initiated the building of a rock snake called Roscoe.
