Wesley Holub (right) has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship by American Legion Post 143 and Auxiliary. Holub plans to attend Texas Tech University and study architecture. Making the presentation was his grandfather, Wesley Holub (left).

American Legion Post 143 and Auxiliary have awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Daniel Bowling (right), 2025 graduate of Flatonia High School. He plans to study telecommunications at TSTC in Waco. His goal is to work with fiber optics for LCRA. Harry Bartosh (left) made the presentation to his grandson.

American Legion Post 143 and Auxiliary awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Trevor Janak (right), 2025 graduate of Katy ISD. He plans to attend Texas Tech in the fall. Legion member Nathan Loth (left) presented the scholarship to his grandson.
Legion scholarship-Janak
American Legion Post 143 and Auxiliary presented four scholarships at the Schulenburg High School Senior Scholarship Banquet. Recipients were (starting second from left) Marshall Wellborn, Mikayla Otto, Alton Herzik and John Davis, who each received a $1,000 scholarship. Presenters were Dennis Olsovsky, scholarship committee chairman, and Harvey Oeding. Post 143 awarded a total of seven scholarships this year.

Presenter was Melanie Ramirez (left), Stanzel Family Foundation program director, and also on hand was Nicolas Lopez (right), 2024 scholarship recipient. The Stanzel Family Foundation partners with the Landa Family Educational Foundation in administering the Clark Scholarship.
