Sixth grade students are invited to participate in the Navidad Valley CattleWomen essay contest celebrating dads and fatherfigures. Entrants must be in the sixth grade or equivalent thereof and reside in Fayette, Lavaca or Colorado counties.

Schulenburg FFA members participated in the Brazos County Youth Livestock Show livestock judging contest on Friday, March 28 in Bryan. In the intermediate division, the Schulenburg FFA finished as the fifth place team and Kerr McBride was ninth high point individual.

NVCW donates beef to area schools

In celebration of National Ag Day, the Navidad Valley Cattle-Women donated frozen ground beef to schools in Fayette, Colorado and Lavaca counties that have culinary or food tech programs at their campuses.
