Sam Houston State University in Huntsville has announced its Dean’s List of Academic Honors as well as President’s Honor Roll for the 2026 spring semester.Students named to the Dean’s List are undergraduates who have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.5 out of a perfect 4.

Blinn board hears enrollment figures

The Blinn College District board of trustees approved a $134.2 million budget for fiscal year 2027 during its regular meeting on Tuesday, June 16.The budget includes a 2-percent salary increase and tiered longevity pay for full-time employees.

Summer Lunch Program Healthy lunch for children up to age 18 is being provided through “Seamless Summer Operations” at SISD. This includes summer school, Schulenburg Boys & Girls Club (serving at 11 a.m.) and school cafeteria (serving from 11:30 a.m. to noon). There is no service on Fridays.
