County 4-H teams win at Buc Days Food Challenge

Ten Fayette County 4-H members competed in the Buc Days Food Challenge contest held on Saturday, May 11 in Corpus Christi.The Fayette County 4-H junior team – “The Beefmasters” consisting of Kloey Noska, Tate Fritsch and Emory Malota – was named the grand champion junior team.
Cody Krupala (left), a La Grange High academic excellence awards recipient, was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship from American Legion Post 143 in Schulenburg. Cody’s grandfather, Legion Post 143 member Eugene Krupala (right), made the presentation on Thursday, May 9 at the La Grange High scholarship recognition program. Cody will attend A&M University at Kingsville and major in range and wildlife management.

St. Rose of Lima Catholic School had 17 students participate at the state Private School Interscholastic Association (PSIA) Academic Meet on Saturday, April 27 at Texas State University in San Marcos.

St. Rose students place at District 9A PSIA Academic Meet in Cuero

Students at St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in grades 1-8 had the opportunity to participate in the District 9A Private Schools Interscholastic Association (PSIA) meet held on Friday, Feb. 16, at St. Michael’s Catholic School in Cuero. A total of 44 St. Rose students participated in 91 events.
