The St. Anne’s Society of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in High Hill recently presented several donations, including donations to St. Rose of Lima Catholic School, St. Rose Parish CCD program and St. Rose Parish youth ministry.

Bosl initiated into Phi Kappa Phi honor society

Collin Bosl from Schulenburg was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Bosl was initiated at Texas A&M University.

Weimar library sets summer chess and Hapkido classes

The Weimar Public Library will offer a free chess class and a free Hapkido class this summer, both taught by David McCall.The classes are back-to-back with a 30-minute lunch break in between to better facilitate parents’ schedules. Those attending both programs are welcome to bring lunch.

4-H livestock judgers win back-to-back sweepstakes

The Fayette County 4-H Livestock Judging Team was the overall sweepstakes winner at the District 11 4-H Livestock Judging Contest on Saturday, April 20 in College Station. District 11 includes 18 counties.

The Diocese of Victoria Office of Catholic Schools, in partnership with home and school associations throughout the diocese, hosted the St. Mother Elizabeth Ann Seton Awards at the Shiner Knights of Columbus Hall on Thursday, April 25.St.

RTFL to hold youth theater, chess classes this summer

Round Top Family Library is offering Kids S.E.E. (Kids Summer Education & Enrichment), which will include a summer theater club and summer chess club. Both programs are free.The theater club is open to youth ages 10 and up.Classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
