Turtle Wing campaign under way

It’s that time of year again – for the entire month of April, all donations to Turtle Wing Foundation are being matched, dollar for dollar, up to $5,000 in the #MakeOur-Match2024 Campaign. Donations can be made online at www.turtlewingfoundation.

Pre-K/kinder round-up set Apr. 4 at SES

Schulenburg Elementary School will hold a pre-K/kindergarten round-up on Thursday, April 4 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the front office, during which parents/ guardians can register their pre-K and kindergarten students for the 2024-25 school year.

On Thursday, March 28, Hallettsville High School softball and baseball teams held their annual Turtle Wing Games, during which a child enrolled in special education gets to throw out the first pitch. More games are scheduled throughout Fayette, Lavaca, and Colorado counties.

After advancing past district for the first time since 2013, Schuienburg High School’s one-act play this year (“Sylvia' by A. R. Gurney) received the bidistrict alternate trophy.

Texas 108’s team wins tournament in Pflugerville

Texas 108’s 10U team won the Rodeo Round Up Tournament in Pflugerville over the weekend with a 5-0 record. On Saturday, March 23, the team defeated Impact 14-2 and TRPD Spartans 15-0.
