St. Rose CDA accepting scholarship applications

Scholarships are available from the Catholic Daughters at the local and state levels. The Texas State Court sponsors the Memorial Scholarship. Those eligible to apply are graduating seniors in accredited high schools who are related to living CDA members in good standing.

Child safety seat checkup slated here

All parents and caregivers are urged to attend a child safety seat checkup event in Schulenburg on Tuesday, Dec. 19, sponsored by TxDOT (Texas Department of Transportation) passenger safety programs and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension of Fayette County.

Rural South Central Texas PAT observes Nat’l PAT Day

Parents As Teachers of Rural South Central Texas (formerly ParentsAs Teachers Schulenburg-Weimar) celebrated National PAT Day on Wednesday, Nov. 8. Teachers, students and families wore masks for the theme “Unmasking Potential with PAT” in order to spread awareness of the program.
