Schulenburg FFA livestock exhibitors do well at Fayette County Fair

The 2023 Fayette County Fair, held Labor Day weekend in La Grange was successful for Schulenburg FFA members. The members exhibited livestock in the commercial heifer, dairy, market goat and market lamb shows.

BGC members explore MyFuture.net

Last week, members of the Schulenburg Unit of the Boys & Girls Club were able to work on MyFuture.net. MyFuture.net is a BGCA program where kids and teens can learn new skills such as STEM projects, educational programs, arts and crafts, and everything in between!

New dresses for Fair parade

Miss Schulenburg and her court unveiled their new red dresses at the Fayette County Fair parade on Saturday, Sept. 2. The court previously wore white dresses.

BGC members make OOBLECK

In last week’s STEM program at the Schulenburg Unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Champion Valley, Club members made OOBLECK with water, corn starch and food coloring. They were encouraged to pinch, pour, scrape and poke the slime which can be a solid or liquid depending on how it is used.
