The League of Women Voters of South Central Texas will host its second annual Women Making History event from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 10 at Schulenburg's historic Sengelmann Hall.

The reserve champion Brangus in the junior market steer division at the San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo was bred by Veselka Farms, located near Schulenburg.

In-person, mail-in early voting numbers given

Early voting by personal appearance in the Republican and Democratic Primary Elections began on Tuesday, Feb. 20 and continues through Friday, March 1 at the Fayette County Elections Office, 275 Ellinger Road, La Grange. The early voting room is located at the back of the building.
