Arrests made for warrant & after disturbance at residence

The Schulenburg Police Department made arrests in two separate incidents on Saturday, Jan. 13. At around 10:45 p.m., officers responded to America’s Best Value Inn to follow up on a disturbance that took place in the 1000 block of Kessler Avenue.

Great State Republicans set candidate forum Jan. 29

Great State Republicans are kicking off 2024 with a big start including a candidate forum on Monday, Jan. 29 at the Hallettsville High School cafeteria, 200 N. Ridge St., Hallettsville. Doors will open to the public at 5:30 p.m. for meet-and-greet time with the candidates. At 6 p.m.

Spring feral hog contest under way thru April 30

The Fayette County spring feral hog contest began on Monday, Jan. 8 and will continue through Tuesday, April 30. The contest is being held to give landowners, producers and sportsmen an opportunity to control feral hogs in Fayette County.
