A money laundering arrest was made following a traffic stop on Interstate 10 at Flatonia on Wednesday, Feb. 14, according to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek.

A stolen firearm was recovered after a traffic stop in Carmine by Deputy Seth Nagel on Wednesday, Feb. 14, according to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek. Sheriff Korenek reports that at approximately 12:15 p.m., Deputy Nagel stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction.

Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced on Wednesday, Feb. 7 that he was sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.3 billion in local sales tax allocations for February, 1.6 percent more than in February 2023.
