The Muldoon Volunteer Fire Department responded to a train derailment on Saturday, July 8 at approximately 3:45 p.m., according to a press release from the Fayette County judge’s office.

Rep. Kitzman town hall set July 12

State Rep. Stan Kitzman has scheduled a town hall meeting in El Campo on Wednesday, July 12 in the Duson Room at the El Campo Civic Center, 2350 North Mechanic St. Networking will be from 5 to 5:30 p.m. and the speaking engagement will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

CPR/first aid workshop set Aug. 12 in La Grange

On Saturday, Aug. 12, the Fayette County Extension Office will host a CPR/first aid workshop which will be conducted by Kim Sodek, Public Health Nurse, TDSHS Region 6/5S. The workshop will be held at the Fayette Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Lane, Room 104, La Grange, from 9 a.m. to noon.
