Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports that officers responded to 47 calls for service and two reportable incidents were investigated during the week of July 8-14. Included were one warrant arrest and one disturbance.

Wanted subject taken into custody in La Grange

Information about a wanted subject with an active federal arrest warrant staying in the La Grange area was received by the Fayette County Narcotics Unit on Wednesday afternoon, June 29, according to Sheriff Keith Korenek.

FEC annual membership meeting set July 19

After three long years, the Fayette Electric Cooperative inperson annual meeting is back, and members are asked to mark their calendars for Wednesday, July 19. The meeting will be held at the KC Community Center located at 190 South Brown St. in La Grange. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
