Search warrant executed in La Grange results in arrest

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, along with deputies and La Grange Police Department officers, executed a search warrant for a residence on North Jackson in La Grange on Friday morning, Feb. 13, accord-ing to Sheriff Keith Korenek.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced the availability of low-interest federal disaster loans to small businesses and private nonprofit (PNP) organizations in Texas to offset economic losses caused by drought beginning Nov. 4, 2025.

JANUARY 2026Sheriff Keith Korenek reports these activities of Fayette County deputies for January.Sgt. Ron Naumann responded to an ATV accident near Fayetteville. One male was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. Sgt. Naumann also responded to an RV fire near Ledbetter.

Applications for ballot by mail due Feb. 20

Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson reminds Texans that mail ballot applications for the March 3 Primary must be received by early voting clerks on or before Friday, Feb. 20.“In Texas, not everyone can vote by mail,” said Secretary Nelson. “If you do qualify, mail-in ballots are not automatic.
