Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports that officers responded 59 calls for services and seven reportable incidents were investigated during the week of March 18-24.

Each year, the second full week of April is recognized as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week to honor the dedicated men and women who answer 9-1-1 calls on a daily basis and who are the true backbone of the 9-1-1 system nationwide.

Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $6,952.95 to the Fayette County EMS (FCEMS) Foundation. A drone will be purchased with the monies donated and will be used by the volunteer fire departments in Fayette County to search for heat/fire and to help locate lost individuals.
