Turkeys harvested in some counties must be reported

Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports that officers responded 73 calls for services and three reportable incidents were investigated during the week of March 11-17. Included were one DWI arrest, one accident, and one possession of controlled substance arrest.

The Fayette County Historical Commission is leading tours of the Courthouse on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. The tours will start at Founder’s Park at 11 a.m. on those days.

Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced on Wednesday, March 8 that he was sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1 billion in local sales tax allocations for March, 9.9 percent more than in March 2022.
