Texas’ booming economy requires highly skilled workers, but higher education enrollment is lagging as the state works to supply qualified employees; about 66,000 fewer students were enrolled in Texas institutions of higher education (IHEs) in fall 2022 than before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Input on migratory game bird regulations sought

Veterans Land Board ups VLB home loan amount

Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham announces that the Veterans Land Board (VLB) has approved an increase for the VLB home loan amount from $647,200 to $726,200. “In 2022, the VLB assisted over 1,760 veterans and their families with purchasing a home,” said Commissioner Buckingham.

Texas again leads state in new corporate projects Texas once again has topped the list for new and expanded corporate facilities added in a year, according to Site Selection Magazine. With 1,028 new projects in 2022, the state had more than the next two states combined – Illinois and Ohio.
