Winter feral hog control contest to start Nov. 5

The Fayette County winter feral hog contest will begin on Saturday, Nov. 5 and will continue through Jan. 1, 2023. The contest is being held to give landowners, producers and sportsmen an opportunity to assist in the control feral hogs in Fayette County.

League of Women Voters offers nonpartisan guide

Early voting for the 2022 General Election started on Monday, Oct. 24 and lasts through Friday, Nov. 4. The League of Women Voters encourages all eligible voters to cast a ballot in this election, whether in person during early voting or on Election Day or by using Vote by Mail.

Producers can now make 2023 crop year elections

Agricultural producers can now change election and enroll in the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs for the 2023 crop year, two key safety net programs offered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
