February sales tax allocations total $1.5 billion

Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock announced onWednesday, Feb. 11 that he was sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.5 billion in local sales tax allocations for February, 2.5 percent more than in February 2025.

Search warrant executed in La Grange results in arrest

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, along with deputies and La Grange Police Department officers, executed a search warrant for a residence on North Jackson in La Grange on Friday morning, Feb. 13, accord-ing to Sheriff Keith Korenek.
