Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports that during the week of July 5-11, officers responded to 53 calls for service and four reportable incidents were investigated as follows: •July 6 – Officer Krenek responded to the 500th block of Summit Street in reference to criminal mischief.

LCRA taking applications for grants

Applications for the next round of Lower Colorado River Authority Community Grants are now available online at lcra.org/grants and must be submitted by midnight on Friday, July 31.

FCSO gets grant from NRA Foundation, Friends of NRA

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek announced that the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office has received a grant from The NRA Foundation and Friends of NRA in the amount of $2,772.90.

Legion, Auxiliary had monthly meetings June 2

American Legion McBride Post 143 and Auxiliary held their monthly meetings on Tuesday, June 2. First vice commander Ed Semler called the meeting to order with 31 Legion and 11 Auxiliary members in attendance. Auxiliary president Patricia Hranicky read the prayer.
