Area Sales Tax Allocations

August sales tax allocations total $1.4 billion

Texas Comptroller Don Huffines said many cities and counties can reduce property taxes due to increased sales tax revenue as local governments will receive $1.4 billion in sales tax allocations for August, 13.6 percent more than in August 2025.

The Schulenburg Economic Development Corporation is pleased to partner with the City of Schulenburg on the installation of new playground equipment at the Sports Complex. Fayette Co. Appraisal District starting field work

The Fayette County Appraisal District is beginning field appraisal work in certain parts of the county for the 2027 tax year. The district’s re-appraisal plan requires an onsite property inspection at least once every three years, and the FCAD conducts its reappraisals in sections.
