The topic for this month's Bluebonnet Master Gardener lunchand- learn program is “Organic Pest Control and Integrated Pest Management in Food Crops,” scheduled for Tuesday, May 12 at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Lane in La Grange.

Young Farmers have program on water

The Schulenburg Young Farmers held their monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 28 at the Schulenburg Expo Center. Program chairman was Ronnie Wick (right) of Fayette Water Supply Co., who gave a program about the Texas aquifers, the operations of rural water, and the importance of water conservation.

Barn fire extinguished near La Grange

A 911 call reporting a structure on fire on Loehr Road near FM 155 just south of La Grange was received by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office on Monday, April 27 around 6:15 p.m., according to Sheriff Keith Korenek.

Colorado/Fayette Pecan Field Day set in La Grange

Narcotics Unit makes drug arrest during traffic stop
