Schulenburg Knights of Columbus Council 2902 and friends of the KCs participated in the Don't Mess with Texas “Texas Trash Off.' This annual event held each April involves groups across the state with hearts as big as Texas working to make Texas roads more beautiful.

Texas awards first $400 million in school vouchers State officials began sending out the first notices to families awarded education vouchers last week, the Houston Chronicle reported. In the first round, 42,644 qualified, mostly students with special needs who are considered the highest priority.

Two regional press associations held their joint annual conventions April 16-18 in Port Lavaca. Each invited members to enter work from 2025 in “better newspaper” contests prior to the event and the Sticker brought home a total of 11 awards.
