Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports that during the week of Nov. 30 to Dec. 6, officers responded to 62 calls for service and five reportable incidents were investigated as follows: •Dec. 1 – Officer Powe responded to Interstate 10 mile marker 676 in reference to assisting another agency.

A new brush truck and resc ue equipment will be purchased by the Muldoon Volunteer Fire Department with the assistance of a $25,000 grant awarded through the LCRA Community Grants program. Muldoon VFD gets $25,000 grant from LCRA

The Muldoon Volunteer Fire Department soon will purchase a new brush truck and rescue equipment to enhance its ability to fight fires and protect people and property, thanks to a $25,000 grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority.
