Legion, Auxiliary had monthly meetings

American Legion McBride Post 143 and Auxiliary held their monthly meetings on Tuesday, Feb. 3. Commander Bob Heinrich called the meeting to order with 40 Legion and 10 Auxiliary members in attendance. Auxiliary Chaplain Linda Dieringer read the prayer.

February sales tax allocations total $1.5 billion

Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock announced onWednesday, Feb. 11 that he was sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.5 billion in local sales tax allocations for February, 2.5 percent more than in February 2025.

Search warrant executed in La Grange results in arrest
