Great State Republicans to host Mudd, Reeves

Sales tax allocations for Nov. issued

Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock announced on Thursday, Nov. 6 that he was sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.3 billion in local sales tax allocations for November, 6.4 percent more than in November 2024.

Arrest made after gunshot victim shows up at residence

Fayette County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a residence in the Clear Lake Pines Subdivision near Winchester after a homeowner reported a severely injured male on her front porch on Thursday, Nov. 6 at approximately 1:45 p.m., according to a post on the FCSO Facebook page.
