The Fayette County Commissioners Court signed a proclamation on Thursday, Sept. 25 designating Sept. 27 as Flatonia Masonic Lodge 436 Day in Fayette County. June 26, 2025 marked the 150th anniversary of the Flatonia Masonic Lodge and a celebration was held in Flatonia on Sept. 27.

Woman arrested for drugs in Muldoon area

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reported that on Sunday morning, Sept. 21 at around 10:51 a.m., deputies Joe Gonzales and Cody Williams were dispatched to Guettermann Ehler Road near FM 609 in the Muldoon area on a welfare concern for a female in a vehicle.

TPWD outlines hunting changes for 2025-2026

The 2025-26 hunting season has kicked off with a great start to dove season for hunters across the state. However, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department wants hunters to be aware of changes before entering the field.

Food manager training course set in La Grange

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Fayette County is offering a two-day professional food manager certification training course, “Food Safety: It’s Our Business,” on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 6-7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 East Pearl St., La Grange.
