Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports that during the week of Oct. 26-31, officers responded to 70 calls for service and three reportable incidents were investigated as follows: •Oct. 27 – Officer Powe was contacted in reference to lost property.

Applications being taken for Master Naturalist training

The Gideon Lincecum Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists is now taking applications for its 2026 training class.The class will run for nine Saturdays and five Monday night Zoom sessions from Saturday, Jan. 10 through Saturday, May 16, 2026.

The Meadow Creek subdivision in the west part of Schulenburg – which usually draws hundreds of trick-or-treaters each year – will have one-way traffic on Halloween, Friday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 9 p.m., according to the Schulenburg Police Department.
