Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock announced on Wednesday, Sept. 10 that he was sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for September, 5.3 percent more than in September 2024.

Private applicator training set Sept. 30 in La Grange

A pesticide applicator training has been scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Lane, Room #104 in La Grange. Registration will begin at 7:45 a.m., with the program beginning promptly at 8 a.m.
