Police Dept. sets annual meet-and-greet Nov. 6

The Schulenburg Police Department would like to cordially invite everyone to join officers and staff for its annual meetand- greet on Wednesday, Nov. 6 starting at 6 p.m.The Police Department will provide food, drinks and the opportunity to mingle with the first responders.

Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced on Wednesday, Oct. 9 that he was sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for October, 1.2 percent less than in October 2023.

The Polka Lovers Club of Texas Museum (PLCTM) is hosting a fall open house with opportunities to learn to polka and waltz dancing on Friday, Oct. 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.The public is invited to attend and celebrate the beginning of the fall season.
