Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports that during the week of June 21-26, officers responded to 86 calls for service and four reportable incidents were investigated as follows: •June 22 – Officer Castilleja responded to 200 West I-10 Frontage Road in reference to a vehicle fire.

Legion, Auxiliary had monthly meetings June 2

American Legion McBride Post 143 and Auxiliary held their monthly meetings on Tuesday, June 2. First vice commander Ed Semler called the meeting to order with 31 Legion and 11 Auxiliary members in attendance. Auxiliary president Patricia Hranicky read the prayer.

A 911 call reporting a structure fire on FM 954 near Roznov Road, possibly caused by a lightning strike, was received by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office on Monday, June 15 around 7:56 a.m., according to Sheriff Keith Korenek.
