‘Doing Business with TxDOT’ program slated in Yoakum

A program on “Doing Business with TxDOT” will be held at the Texas Department of Transportation Yoakum District office on Wednesday, July 22 from 9 a.m. to noon. Small businesses in heavy highway construction are invited to come learn about and connect with TxDOT.

Abbott wants ban on data centers in rural neighborhoods Gov. Greg Abbott is calling for a ban on data center construction in rural neighborhoods, according to the Houston Chronicle. Opposition to the facilities is growing because they require large amounts of electricity and water and can be noisy.
