April 12-18 designated as Telecommunicators Week

Each year, the second full week of April is recognized as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week to honor the dedicated men and women who answer 9-1-1 calls on a daily basis and who are the true backbone of the 9-1-1 system nationwide.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Yoakum District invites the public to participate in an upcoming virtual public meeting regarding the 2027-2030 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (Rural TIP).

Dodson was not only a founding member and original officer of VVA Chapter 870 but is also a retired teacher in Schulenburg. Delivering the quilt to Dodson were VVA 870 members (back row, from left) Don Christen, Eugene Krupala, Daniel Kutac, Frank White, Gerald Smith and Andy Janda.
