Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports that during the week of June 9-15, officers responded to 64 calls for service and five reportable incidents were investigated as follows: •June 9 – Officer Castilleja responded to the 100th block of Baumgarten in reference to a theft.

Crops Tour slated June 26

The annual Crops Tour, an educational event for anyone interested in row crop production, will be held on Wednesday June 26 at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Lane in La Grange.Registration will be from 8 to 8:30 a.m.

Colorado Valley Communications and the La Grange Rotary Club were recognized during the Fayette County Commissioners Court meeting on Thursday, June 13.Both entities funded EMS personnel who became paramedics through reimbursements to them for their school tuition.
