Colorado/Fayette Pecan Field Day slated April 25

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Offices of Colorado and Fayette counties are pleased to announce the 2024 Colorado/Fayette Pecan Field Day will be held on Thursday, April 25 at the Daniel Paul Wick property located at CR 200 and Wick Lane near Weimar. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.

April sales tax allocations total $1.03 billion

Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced on Wednesday, April 10 that he was sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.03 billion in local sales tax allocations for April, 5.5 percent more than in April 2023.

‘Aggressive’ hurricane forecast for Gulf Coast Colorado State University researchers are calling this year’s hurricane season forecast “the most aggressive” ever, the Texas Standard reported. They say there is a 54% chance a hurricane will strike the Texas coast, and a 25% chance it will be major.
