Youngsters learned about some of the bugs that live in their backyards at the Schulenburg Public Library on Friday morning, June 23. Several volunteered to take part in the program put on by members of the Victoria County Master Gardeners Association.

Traffic stop leads to arrest for drugs, gun

On Friday, June 23 at approximately 2:28 a.m., Schulenburg Police Department officers stopped a 2015 Chevy car at The Texan for multiple traffic violations. While speaking with the driver, officers smelled an odor of Marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Deputy makes drug arrest after seeing man slumped over in vehicle at Amigos

On Wednesday June 14 at approximately 2:48 a.m., Sgt. Ryan Meagher was at Amigos Country Store in Flatonia, when he observed a male subject slumped over at the wheel of his parked vehicle, according to a press release from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. Contact was made with the male subject.

A Schulenburg man was arrested in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 17 after Schulenburg Police Department officers responded to a call of a subject threatening to cause an altercation at a local residence.
