Officials voice concern over trash along county roads

During the public comment period of last Thursday’s Fayette County Commissioners Court meeting, County Judge Joe Weber said there is a tremendous amount of trash along county roads, especially around bridges and creeks.

Price to lease Fayette County’s School Land raised by 4-1 vote

Fayette County Judge Joe Weber was authorized to sign an amendment to the School Land Lease dated June 2, 2016, increasing the price per acre to $18 and extending it to June 2, 2027. The Commissioners Court approved the measure 4-1 last Thursday. Precinct 1 Commissioner Jason McBroom opposed.

Council OKs Civic Center cleanup

Spring citywide cleanup set for 4 days this month
