Sacred Heart-Hallettsville sets Apple Strudel Bake

The Sacred Heart-Hallettsville Home & School Association is gearing up for its 69th annual Apple Strudel Bake on Saturday, Oct. 30. Unbaked strudels are $17 and baked are $20. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Family Center in Hallettsville on Oct. 30.

Citywide cleanup set for four days in Oct.

The City of Schulenburg has scheduled its fall citywide cleanup – open only to customers who live inside the city limits and pay monthly garbage fees – on the following dates: Wednesday, Oct. 13 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
