Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum hosted a “Drone Racing Day” this past Saturday, Nov. 22. The military robot dog (above) was a big hit with the youngsters and, of course, the event was highlighted by drones taking flight, including the one shown below.

Another deep playoff run halted in state semis

For the third time in the last four years, the Lady Horns finished in the final four with an incredible 137 wins over that span but Jewett Leon ended their quest for a second state championship last Saturday in Brenham.

Austin man arrested for theft north of town

A theft in progress that was reported on Wednesday, Nov. 5 led to the arrest of an Austin man near Schulenburg, according to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek.In a press release received on Nov. 12, Sheriff Korenek stated that at approximately 3:16 a.m.

63rd anniversary All Veterans Day ceremonies held at Praha

The 63rd anniversary All Veterans Day ceremonies were held on Sunday, Nov. 9 at the Praha Cemetery, honoring all veterans of all eras. The assembly began at 10:30 a.m. and the veterans memorial service started at 11 a.m. Prior to the ceremonies, a patriotic rosary was recited at 8:45 a.m.
