Motorcyclist arrested after high-speed chase

On Saturday, Nov. 29 at approximately 8:30 p.m., a patrol deputy with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department was conducting a routine patrol on Interstate 10 eastbound near Flatonia.A motorcycle with no license plate passed the deputy, who attempted to initiate a traffic stop.

“From High Hill to the NFL – The Story of Hugo Hollas” chronicles the life of a local farmboy who fulfilled his dream and the authors were on hand for a book signing sponsored by the Schulenburg Lions Club last Wednesday at the Schulenburg Public Library.
