Burn ban for Fayette extended

The ban on outdoor burning in unincorporated areas of Fayette County was extended for another 90 days following action by the Commissioners Court at it regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 8.

WJC Constructors of Smithville was awarded the bid for water and sewer line upgrades on East Avenue with a unanimous vote of the Schulenburg City Council at Monday night’s meeting.Bradley Loehr of BEFCO Engineering said that WJC submitted the low bid of four at $337,275.69.
