Hearing on proposed county tax rate set for 6 p.m. on Aug. 19

The Fayette County Commissioners Court set a public hearing on the proposed tax rate of $0.4640 during a special meeting held on Thursday afternoon, July 30. The proposed tax rate is the same as the current County tax rate.

Local first responders had a busy day last Tuesday, July 28 with two accidents on Interstate 10. The first one was reported at 9:48 a.m. and occurred about two miles west of the Schulenburg exit.
