State unemployment stays steady at 4.1 percent in August, most area rates see slight change from July

The seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate in Texas remained at 4.1 percent in August, which was 0.1 percentage points below the national rate, according to the Texas Workforce Commission.The rate for Fayette County (not seasonally adjusted) rose one-tenth of a percent from July to 3.6 percent.
