Financing for dump truck approved by City Council

Getting a jump on a purchase in the 2024-25 budget, the Schulenburg City Council approved a resolution for financing a dump truck for the public works department at last week’s meeting.

Constitution Week in Fayette County proclaimed

The Fayette County Commissioners Court approved and signed a proclamation on Thursday, Sept. 12, declaring the week of Sept. 15-21 as Constitution Week in Fayette County.

Two arrested for chainsaw theft from Tractor Supply

A 911 call reporting that a male subject stole a chainsaw from Tractor Supply in La Grange was received by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday, Sept. 10 around 5 p.m., according to Sheriff Keith Korenek.The caller also reported that the subject left walking toward Sutherland Lumber.
